Coil & hot Runner Heaters
Vishvkarma Heaters offers a versatile heating solution with their Micro Tubular Coil Heater, a compact, linear heating element that can be customized into various shapes and configurations. This heater is commonly referred to as a Hot Runner Heater due to its widespread application in Hot Runner Systems. The Micro Tubular Coil Heater is known for its high-performance capabilities, enabling the delivery of high wattage within confined spaces.
One of its key advantages is the ability to shape the Hot Runner Heater even when it is cold, allowing it to efficiently heat parts with diverse shapes. During the coiling process, the gap between turns can be adjusted to compensate for heat losses at each end of the coil or to insert the heating element into specific slots.
Compared to Micro Coil Heaters, the Micro Tubular Coil Heater possesses a larger cross-sectional area, allowing for greater power output. This makes it suitable for hot runners with ample space and applications where high heat densities are required. Additionally, the Micro Tubular Coil Heater can accommodate type “J” or “K” thermocouple sensors.
In instances where the built-in thermocouple’s measurement point is located in the Hot Runner Heater rather than where the heat is specifically needed, using the Micro Tubular Coil Heater with a thermocouple is particularly beneficial. This is applicable in situations where higher processing temperatures are permissible or when the installation location or design necessitates protection against overheating. The standard connection for our Micro Tubular Coil Heater is a 1000 mm PTFE-insulated lead wire with a fiberglass sleeve and a protective earth conductor lead.
Construction:
Vishvkarma Heaters’ Micro Tubular Coil Heater features precision-wound parallel coil elements that are fusion-welded to nickel cold pins. These element assemblies are embedded within high-purity Magnesium Oxide Insulation and encased in a Stainless Steel metal sheath. The Hot Runner Heater is swaged to achieve final rectangular, square, or round cross-sectional dimensions, compacting the internal core and high-purity insulation to near theoretical density. This high-density construction maximizes heat transfer and dielectric properties, ensuring a high level of reliability and performance even in the most demanding applications.
The Hot Runner Heater undergoes an annealing process after manufacturing, giving it high malleability that allows for subsequent bending into complex shapes, even with extremely narrow bending radii.
